Nicole kicks things off with a technique that's all the rage - fussy cutting! She's working with the mango and lime cardstock pages and the stroll in the meadow page from the main kit. But wait, there's a twist! She switches gears and goes for the mango and berry colors instead, creating a vibrant layout featuring the Let's Find Sunshine page.

Today, we're diving into a delightful scrapbooking adventure with the one and only Jana Eubank. Let's get our creative juices flowing, shall we?
In this video, Jana shares a layout from the HipKit Club's April 2023 kit. She's been inspired by the design team's scraplifting challenge and has decided to join in the fun. But instead of copying a layout by Sophie DeLorme, she's putting her own spin on it. She's documenting her daughter's summer fun at a girls' camp, complete with water toys and a pool.
Jana's absolutely smitten with the April 2023 kit's colors, especially a paper with a blue wash of paint that reminds her of water. She's creating a water-themed scrapbook page and has layered two photos together on a strip of paper. She's adding tags to the page and layering them in a shingle style pattern.
She's also paying attention to the color of the printed reinforcement on the tags. She's trying to find a balance of colors and textures, using different weights of white twine. She's also using products from a main kit and an embellishment kit, and creating floral clusters to lead the eye towards the title of the page.
Jana's using cornflour cardstock to match the colors of the layout. She's using various embellishments, including navy chipboard letters and die cuts, to create clusters on the page. She's also considering adding a third cluster in the top right corner of the photo strip.
She came across a phrase that says "more life less rush" which she plans to use on the page. The phrase fits nicely between the flowers at the bottom left of the page. She's also adding teal chipboard hearts to the right of the title and clusters of chipboard hearts throughout the page.
Jana wraps up her project by adding computer-generated journaling strips to the left of the title. She thanks Sophie for inspiring her to create the page and encourages readers to order the Hip Kit Club and subscribe to the kit.
So, are you ready to dive into your own scrapbooking adventure? Grab your kit, get inspired, and let's create something beautiful together!
In this video, Elisa Fornezza takes us through a detailed process of creating a layout using the April 2023 Hip Kits. The video showcases how to effectively use the Main Kit, the Embellishment Kit, and the Project Life Kit.
Elisa's inspiration for this layout comes from the May moodboard, and she's scrap lifted a layout made by Anke Kramer. The result is a visually appealing layout that showcases the versatility of the Hip Kits.
Whether you're an experienced scrapbooker or a beginner, this video is a valuable resource. It's not just about following along; it's about understanding the process, the choices, and the creativity that goes into making a layout.

Welcome to another exciting adventure in the world of scrapbooking! Today, we're diving into the creative universe of Sarah Millerhouse, who's sharing her new layout inspired by the talented Morag Cutts. Sarah's taken Morag's beautiful layout and added her own unique twist, using elements from different kits to create a page that's truly her own.
Sarah's layout is a masterclass in layering and texture. She's used a patterned paper from the March main kit and added elements from different kits to create a stunning, realistic-looking bouquet. She's even added craft foam behind some elements for that extra bit of dimension. It's like a 3D movie, but for scrapbooking!
But the creativity doesn't stop there. Sarah's also used a stamp and archival ink to mimic a similar layout she'd seen before, adding coffee stains and other wet mediums to create a unique look. She's even used shimmer paints and other products to add depth and interest to the project. It's like she's got a magic wand, but instead of casting spells, she's creating scrapbooking masterpieces!
Sarah's also shared some handy tips and tricks for creating a similar layout. She's cautioned against using black ink that is water-soluble with wet mediums, recommending archival ink instead. She's also suggested ordering main kits to have a variety of elements to use in layouts. It's like having a scrapbooking toolbox at your fingertips!
In her process of creating a scrapbook page, Sarah's used materials from various kits, hand-cutting some elements and distressing the edges for texture. She's used fabric pieces, journaling blocks, frames, and chipboard frames to create depth and draw attention to the photos. It's like she's building a scrapbooking skyscraper, with each layer adding more and more interest.
Sarah's also added craft foam to her photos to make them the same level as the chipboard frames, and then added more craft foam behind the photos before setting them up on top. She's used cheap craft foam from local craft stores and added her own adhesive, using a combination of wet and dry adhesive and a little touch of glue to all elements that are stickers. It's like she's a scrapbooking architect, carefully constructing each element to create a cohesive design.
Finally, Sarah's added small details to her scrapbook pages, such as foam epoxy dots and Nouveau drops, to add texture and interest.
Hey there, crafty friends! 🎨 Today, we're diving into a delightful video by the talented Mary-Ann Maldonado, where she's creating a stunning layout using the April 2023 kits from Hip Kit Club. Buckle up, because we're about to get crafty!
In this video, Mary-Ann is using the main kit and the embellishment kit, along with a gorgeous cut file called "Wild Flowers". The layout features some adorable pictures of her mom, sister, and herself on Mother's Day. She's got the cut file bordering at the bottom of her layout, and she's colored the flowers in a variety of hues from her past kits. The only colors she had to bring in were yellow and black, all to honor her mom's favorite flower, the Black Eyed daisies. 🌼
Now, here's a fun fact: Mary-Ann's Silhouette sticky sheet was too new, making it a bit tricky to get the cut file off. So, a little tip from her to you: go for a less tacky mat if you can, it'll make your life a lot easier!
Moving on, she's tucked her flowers into the wildflower display at the bottom, added some foam tape for dimension, and framed the pictures with beautiful frames from the kit. She's also added embellishments that fit the theme of her layout and coordinated with the color options.
The title of the layout? A simple yellow label. Sometimes, less is more, right? She's also added a strip at the top of the layout for a little extra something, and used an old black marker to add some finishing touches.
And voila! A beautiful, personalized layout that's as unique as it is charming. But remember, go slow and enjoy the process. After all, crafting is all about having fun!
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your kits and get crafting! And don't forget to share your beautiful creations with us. Happy crafting! 🎉
Today, we're diving into a delightful scrapbooking journey with the talented Anke Kramer. She's got a fantastic video for us, where she's creating a fun mixed media layout with lots of textures and dimension using different techniques like stamping, die cutting and using stencils and modeling paste.
Anke's project is all about letting the paper do the work. She uses dies to cut out pieces of paper, adding a unique touch to her layout. She also uses a purple Nuvo from the color story kit to add texture and sparkle. Who doesn't love a bit of sparkle, right? ✨
She emphasizes the importance of layering and placement, and also mentions using a heat gun to speed up the drying process. It's all about the details! 📸🔥
Anke adds a tag and uses letter stickers for the title, and mentions using color coordination in her design. She also mentions using a lifter tool to add and tuck in elements as they go along. It's clear that every element in her design is thoughtfully placed. 🏷️🎨
She used yellow and orange colors and added embellishments for texture. She recommends a particular type of paper and Nuvo drops for additional embellishments. The result is a vibrant, textured layout that's just bursting with creativity! 🌼🍊

That's all for today, folks! Stay tuned for more crafty adventures with Marianne. Happy crafting! 🎨🖌️🌸
There you are, staring at your supplies. They’re beautiful, but you’re unsure about how to get going on your next scrapbook page. Give a mood board challenge a try! Hi, friends! I'm Jana Eubank. Today I’m sharing my latest layout using the May Mood Board Challenge from the Hip Kit Club Facebook Group. Want to play along? Add your layout to the May Mood Board challenge album by June 2nd for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Hip Kit Club store!
How do you use a mood board? Well, that is up to you! Look at the photos on the mood board and use the colors, shapes, and textures to guide your design decisions. Watch the video below, where I will explain how I used the April 2023 Hip Kits and this mood board to create the ‘Mermaid Tale’ layout shown below.
I began this page with the top three photos of the mood board as inspiration. I loved the purple and blue colors mixed with many florals spilling out of the baskets and buckets around the bicycle. I decided to create a column of photos surrounded by lots of soft, pretty flowers.
Before assembling my layout, I used the two photos in the bottom-right corner of the mood board as inspiration to add tonal stamping to the background paper. Here you can see where I used the Coffee Stain stamp and the Mini Postage Stamp Texture stamp (April Embellishment Kit) on the purple patterned paper.
I stacked my photos and then used florals created with the October 2022 Color Kit along with black and white floral die-cuts (April Main Kit) and clear stickers (April Embellishment Kit) to spill out from behind. (NOTE: The stamped florals were left over from my last Hip Kit Club layout – watch the video HERE if you’d like to see how I made these flowers using inks, embossing ink, and drips of water & paint.)
I also added pieces of flowers along the top-right edge of the page. The flower centers are dotted with the Lemon Twist Nuvo Drops from the April 2023 Color Kit.
To the right of my photos column, I used a 6×4 Journal Card from the April Pocket Life Kit to house my title and journaling. I was inspired by fellow design team member, Sophie Delorme, to add the Pixie Wings Nuvo Glacier Paste (April Color Kit) to the navy chipboard letters (April Main Kit) for a shimmery, mermaid feel. I also dabbed the Glacier Paste onto several of the flowers.
Below the journaling I added a section of scalloped patterned paper because it reminded me of fish scales, tying into the theme of my page.
All the elements together create a layout that makes you feel like you’re swimming through an underwater seascape. I love it!
If you haven’t picked up the April Hip Kits yet, you can find them HERE. Enjoy! APRIL 2023 HIP KITS USED IN THIS PROJECT:
